What is the difference between the 2.5" External Hard Disk? Which company offers chep and best prices?

I want to buy a 500 GB or 1 TB External Hard Disk. What is the difference between the 2.5" External Hard Disk and 3.5" External Hard Disk ? 2.5" External Hard Disk is costlier than 3.5" External Hard Disk? Which company offers chep and best prices for External Hard Disk ?

There’s no difference between the 2.5" and the 3.5" externals, just the physical size of the HD inside and that of course dictates the size of the external HD unit itself.

As for the best company, after using many different brands the top 2 are Seagate and Western Digital (WD). I’ve encountered far fewer technical issues and defects while using Seagate drives, both in the work field and in my personal home uses and travels.

    There truly is no difference if it is 1.8" or 2.5" or 3.5" the things to watch out for are RPM and cache. That might be what has the price higher.

    I always buy from newegg.com because they always have good deals on things.
