I was wondering how well this will work? Back up my pc before I make the switch, then reinstall windows on the ssd, then restore all my files from my external hdd. Has anyone done this with no problems?

Is there some sort of file sharing I can do on the computer so the 360 can access the files on the external HDD?

There are several programs that allow you to do this. I personally use tversity. I have it installed on my desktop and it streams media from my desktop, my server, and an externall connected harddrive. It’s pretty easy to setup. www.tversity.com

I recommend tversity though if the media you are trying to play is not in the right format for the 360 it will transcode it on the fly.

I have a compaq presario m2000 laptop. Now the hard disk drive is not working bcoz of hardware issues. So i want to use my external HDD as my hard disk. Please tell me how to disable the old one and use the new one. Thanks in advance..

u dont hav to disable anything…. instead, setting the boot priority to ur external HDD should work.
