Can you help me with this ,please?
I want a HDD to use with my satellite box,the object being to record full length feature films in HD.
The instructions with the box inform me that the HDD must be FAT32 and I have just read that if the HDD is FAT32 it will not take more than 4gb per file.Which,I presume, means that recording a film is impossible. Is this correct?
It should be obvious that I am a complete noggin when it comes to anything IT.
Many thanks
Yes, that is correct. I’m not sure how you get around it, though.

Hard drive prices have gone through the roof after the flooding In Thailand. The only hard disks I seem to find which are a lot cheaper than the Internal hard disks are usb external drives.I’m thinking to buy a few and remove them from their casing. The problem Is I don’t know If there sata or Ide.I need sata disks.I also don’t know the quality or brand of the drive.Any Ideas ?
This Isn’t a question really Is It ? that was a question though so I’m covered.
The external HDDs will be SATA unless they are really old. I am guessing you are going to crack the case open and take out the HDD to install in your PC. Should work fine.
