Is a 1 TB external hard drive really what I want?

January 10, 2012 in 1 tb external hard drive | Comments (4)

I have an LCD 32" TV and I wanted to know if I could also turn it into a computer by buying a hard drive and keyboard with touch pad. I just was wondering whether I could get a cheap $100 external drive at walmart. It’s meant for computers that already have an internal drive that ran out of space. So could I use this product?

1TB to 1.5TB hard drives are the latest standard. It’s a good idea.

I might have mistook the dimensions, but this is ONE TINY external hard drive. Very nice device. Definitely a device which can EASILY fit into any lap top bag or even in a pocket.

Can i put all my files on a 1 tb external hard drive the delete everything on my comp fr performance?

September 8, 2011 in 1 tb external hard drive | Comments (1)

Will it speed up my computer for better performance so i have 0 gigs of mem on my comp???
if so how???
What if i just moves all the files like under my user as in pictures videos documents ect

No.
-installed programs do not slow down the computer in anyway
-your not going to be able to move the OS or else the computer wont function
-accessing those files from an external drive is usually slower

I am in need of 1 or 2 TB External Hard Drive, which would you recommend?

July 20, 2011 in 1 tb external hard drive | Comments (2)

I am in need of at least 1 TB or 2 TB External Hard Drive where I can store all of my hard drive from my computer.
I realise I have a lot of games installed and a lot of them consume a lot of hard disk space. Hence I don’t have enough space on my PC anymore. I am also in need of a the Hard Drive so that in case I need to reformat my PC next time if my PC has a problem such as a virus, etc. Then the HD storage should then help me restore back all the data I previously had.

Can anyone recommend me a reliable brand for HD? I was looking at Western Digital, Seagate I heard they were good.
I know internal hard drive is slightly cheaper. But I’d prefer an external hard drive so that I can store everything and use it again next time without the need to have it installed inside my case.

I was also looking at the Extra Value USB 2.0 eSATA Hard Drive Enclosure for upto 1.5TB.http://www.ebuyer.com/product/149273 Do you think this would do me the job? Or is that not quite what I am looking at?
In other words I am looking for something just like a regular USB Memory Stick but something with at least 1-2 TB memory.

And I don’t want it to cost more than £55. Which would you recommend?

Thanks!

Western Digitel .Fast reliable and very easy to use just plug it into your usb slot and click on my computer and away you go. If you shop around you should find one for the money you want to spend.I’ve got a lot of movies on mine all I do to watch is plug the Ex HD into my playstation 3 and watch.Saves alot of space around the room.

Which of these two external, 1 TB, hard drive would you choose?

June 10, 2011 in 1 tb external hard drive | Comments (4)

I like styles. Both of them look good. But its your opinion. And I also like the software installed, such as the booster USB and things like that. So would you choose:
- LaCie External 1TB 3.5" Hard Drive
or
- Seagate FreeAgent Desktop Hard Drive – 1TB

It depends. If I was going to buy it for my desktop computer, I would buy the LaCie. It’s good looking and a really cheap price. Otherwise, if I wanted something to be portable as if I was going to be working on multiple computers, then I would buy the Seagate. Both of them come with the automatic backup software which will keep an automatic backup of your computers hard drive. Any time you change a file on your computer, it will back up the same file in the external hard drive.

Both are an awesome price and come with free shipping too! I wish I would’ve gotten mine this cheap!

Please post a comment or video response if you have any information about screen recording programs.

I bought a brand new 1 TB (one terabyte) external hard drive because of when I deleted Skype from my Macintosh computer. I had problems and before I knew what was wrong, I had to re-install my whole operating system.

You can view that video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEPoRfavzkM

I bought a I-O Data 1TB hard drive, which is compatible for both Windows and Mac. It cost about 8000 yen. Apparently I missed the sale at Yodobashi camera a few weeks ago when it was only 6500 yen. I got this one at Bic Camera in Tenjin, Fukuoka.

I hope that my ‘tutorial’ on how to transfer data from a computer to an external hard drive helps you if you ever wondered how it works!
It’s pretty simple to use one, and I highly recommend it for anyone that records YouTube videos or if you own a video camera and transfer your information to your computer, it can save you hours or days of stress just knowing that your information is safe because you were smart enough to save it on another hard drive!
