Hi i want to get an external hardrive so that i can store things like movies games documents or whatever. Im not looking for like 1 tb or anything maybe around 500gb of storage space. I’ve never had and external hard drive before so pretty much the main thing im scared of is losing everything on it because i’ve heard stories of peoples ex hard drives just breaking down so i was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations that would help me out. I like the WD Elements and the WD MyPassport series – depending on whether you want a 3.5" with an external power supply, or a 2.5" one without an external power supply.

When I connect my Flash Drive or External Hard Disk to my PC I saw, all files and folder have changed to shortcuts, and also My Documents, My Pictures and My Videos folders are in there. When I try to open them (double click) nothing happen. Please help me to remove this, and recover my data.
